Player of the Week nominations. days 1-7 inclusive

For the rookie GMs, the Player of the Week/Month threads are weekly/monthly awards that grant small amounts of cap to the winning teams.

For each block of simmed days, we will post a nomination thread where you can nominate your top players in the following categories:

Player
Defenseman
Goalie
Rookie
Unsung (65OV or lower - 75OV for goalies)

Additionally, there is also a poster of the week award. You can nominate a GM (other than yourself) that you feel was the most active/entertaining/constructive/etc on the forums for the time period.

When nominating your players, feel free to post as much or little information about the player as you want. Just keep in mind that we are not going to go digging for stats... so the more you include the better your chances!


Vets, if I've missed anything, feel free to add on.

Addendum:

- Everything you post is on your honour. If you cheat to pad your stats to win 150k in cap, you might have issues. And someone like MJK will probably find you anyway.... so yeah.
- Rob and I will be discussing nominations and deciding on the winners each week. We won't cheat and pick our own players for no reason. We will pick our own players if they are clearly superior though Again, if we have to cheat for 150k in cap, we have issues.
- We'll be trying to spread awards around in a given week, but we won't be spreading them around week to week. If one player is dominating for an entire month, expect all 4 awards to go to him! If one team dominates an entire week's worth of categories, we will probably spread things around a bit

I'm trying to do my POTW stats, but the game sheets for my first 2 games are missing.

Anyone else have missing game sheets?

Player of the week - ROR - 3G-2A-5P +1, had a hat-trick in the Kings' season opener.
Dman - Girardi - 1-3-4 +1, solid all around performance on the blue line
Ward - 2-0-1, .918, 2.53 - the OTL is the only blemish on his record and he's been perfect in the shootout.

Poster - Goffie for never complaining about his hard schedule... he's a trooper!

Player of the week: Martin St. Louis, 3g 3a, 6 points in 3 games. He was both a second star and first star this week.

Goalie: Ben Bishop who had a sparkling 0.939 save percentage and GAA of 2.01 in going 2-1 for the Preds. Claimed second star honours in a 30 save victory over Calgary.

Player: Roberto Luongo - 3GP 2W 1L 0.956% Save Percentage, 1.33 GAA, 1 Shut-out, 90 Saves on 94 shots, 1st Star X2.

Defenseman: Kevin Bieksa - 1A in 3GP. Anchored the defense that allowed only 4 goals in 3 games. Dished out 11 hits and blocked 6 shots while averaging 27.14 mintues per game.

Goalie: Roberto Luongo - 3GP 2W 1L 0.956% Save Percentage, 1.33 GAA, 1 Shut-out, 90 Saves on 94 shots, 1st Star X2.

Unsung: Matt Ellis (60OV) - Despite playing 4th line minutes with 8.14 minutes per game, Ellis scored two goals including a Game Winning Goal. He currently has a 50% shooting percentage. Named 2nd Star X1.
