Default Travel tournaments: Funny read!

Our sons first year novice and we have 4 out of town tournamnets booked. (one of which is at West Edmonton Mall) Sounds like it might be fun after all!

humourous article.....the only time i get grumpy in a tournment is when we have an early game, and the team on the floor above does not. Gets frustrating when you go upstairs and talk with the other team nicely and respectfully and you are told to pound sand......of course a few timely phone calls in the morning when you get up can help you tkae the edge off.

i also feel somewhat sorry for folks that had the unfortunate timing of booking a stay in ahotel at the same time as 6 other hockey teams.

oh yeah, if you play for a calgary team, you'll likely ahve the pleasure of playing in canal flats and staying at the fiarmont hot springs hotel. they have a decent set up, with the exception of the fact the only "fast food" restuarnt in teh area is the Subway, which gets very busy when a couple fo teams are in there - you can save yourself some grief by getting a room with a kitchenette in Fairmot (it is a little more money), but you will save a bunch of time not wiaitng at Subway.....

enjoy the ride, my son is now halfway thru is minor hockey career. i often forget how much he has grown over the past 5 years

I shudder when I remember coaching out of town tournaments.

This is very, very true:

No. You may not.
