$250 is a pretty good price. I thought it was going to be at least $300-350. I usually don't like buying the first generation of a new product but I'd probably pick one up at that price point to play around with.

Looks like LG is prepping a round android wear device as well. Looks like the bottom display isn't cut off, like the moto 360. Announcement coming September 4.

I'm not sure I'd trust LG not to screw things up. Their launch google wear watch product had a huge number of problems poorly thought out USB connector, clumsy charging mechanism and corroding anodes within a couple of months. Warranty was denied for these issues too.

We'll see if they've fixed all of these issues when the G Watch R launches... it could potentially be better, but I'm not sure I trust the after market support or the build quality yet. Been burned by so so many LG phone products in the past.

$250 price point also confirmed by WSJ. Review is not entirely positive regarding the poor battery life atm and lack of notification control on the watch itself. Woman reviewing it also said it was way too big for her girl wrists.

Quick update. Watch is being released on Halloween in Telus stores and Futureshop. $279 price point for the leather bands. There was an update earlier that boosted the battery performance of the watch also.

Was holding out for the LG G Watch R (better display and battery life) until I found out yesterday it will be on sale in the UK for no less than around CDN $540. Not to mention the R still does not have wireless charging.

You will definitely see me at Future Shop around Halloween...
