Sabres try some new look lines again with good results against the rival Bs as some of the big guns, Thornton, Pominville and Bozak lead the way. Sabres GM's fat fingers however make a bit of an oops as first pairing D man Roman Josi was also slotted into 3rd line RW instead of Sam Gagner.....oh well fatigued players Josi and Rask and injured player Lupul should all be good to go by our next outing

Its was an all Ryan Show as Getzlaf and Miller dominate the Sens. After a sluggish start to the season Ryan Miller has been excellent in the last two games. Ryan Getzlaf, Nash and vermette have found chemistry on the top line and did all the scoring....well except for Paul Ranger who just got into the lineup and scored...what a warrior.

Lost the goalie battle in this one for sure. Dallas fires 43 shots but can't outscore the Flyers.

gave Mason the night off since it was a back 2 back game ... probably not a good decision. At least I generated offense and went home with a point. Also lost Kevan Miller for a week due to injury

I have no idea how three shooters miss the net in the shootout, but we drop a 3-2 decision to Chicago.

This one was like Canada vs Latvia remix. Pens outshoot the Isles 50-21 but are lucky to eke out a 2-1 win. We are so happy to win that we have given the team 3 days off before the play again on Saturday.

I guess Stalock got fed up and wouldn't let Scrivins take the net. He decided to start himself.

Also I guess Doherty missed his flight to Montreal and didn't make the lineup. Hal Gill stepped up and double shifted on the 2nd and 3rd d pairings- as only 5 dmen were dressed. What a trooper- playing 27+ mins.

Regardless, another close game, another loss for the Habs...

Jamie Benn and Daniel Sedin doing some gameday research.

The closed room meeting and extra time spent on CPHL lead the Canucks to their first victory of the season!!!!

Both Benn and Sedin had a goal and an assist in leading Vancouver past the Lightning. A 2nd period injury to Ekman-Larsson resulted in Alec Martinez stepping up and logging over 23 minutes of ice time. After taking a 2 goal lead into the third the Canucks let off the gas and allowed Tampa to score 3 goals in 4 minutes. Responding with 2 goals in the final 5 minutes the Canucks avoided going to extra time again.

Goaltender Mike Smith was happy about the victory. "'Bout f*^king time we got a win. We are a better team than this start indicates. We have two days off to drink then the Dallas Stars come to town so that we can demolish them like KG on a dozen cheeseburgers! Beers on Danny! (Daniel Sedin)"

We swept the 3 stars too:
1 - Daniel Sedin - Extra time browsing the web helped Daniel tune his game
2 - Zack Kassian - responded to being demoted to the 2nd line with the GWG
3 - Ray Whitney - received a star because he is older then his General Manager (oh, he had a goal and an assist too.)

Hopefully with 2 days off The Canucks top D-man can recover from his upper body injury. "Oh this, it's nothing. I've hurt myself worse horsing around on a golf cart. I will be back before you know it."

Had to sit Garrison due to fatigue and paid for it as Blum went -2.

No scoring in the first and 8 goals between the 2 teams after Schneider played well. He gets much needed 2 days off.
