Flames to honour Peter Maher on Nov 18

The Calgary Flames will honour Hall of Fame broadcaster Peter Maher on Tuesday, November 18th when they play host to the Anaheim Ducks at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
“Peter has been one of the classiest ambassadors of our great game in Calgary for over thirty years,” said Flames President and CEO Ken King. “He is synonymous with the Calgary Flames and we are proud to honour his legacy in this celebration on November 18th.”
Peter Maher’s career has spanned over four decades and he has been the voice of the Flames since the 1981-82 season calling 2,954 Flames games. He was honoured by the Hockey Hall of Fame as the winner of the 2006 Foster Hewett Memorial Award and as a native of Campbellton, New Brunswick, was also inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame in 1996. Maher has called World Championship games, six NHL All-Star games, the Stanley Cup Finals in 1980, 1986, 1989 and 2004 and the 2010 Winter Olympics.
"I'm greatly touched that the Flames are honouring me with a night,” said Peter Maher. “I always thought these celebrations were for the game’s greats not for a guy who was along for the ride, although thanks to the Flames, it was a great ride for over three decades. November 18th will allow me to thank the many fans who have listened to and supported my broadcasts over the years. My family and I look forward to this opportunity and greatly appreciate the Flames’ gesture."

Well deserved. It's really odd listening to Flames games now without him.
The broadcast booth is already named for Ed Whalen, what can they name for Peter?

I think the Ed Whalen broadcast booth is for TV broadcasters. The Radio one could be named still? no brainer if available.

Would be cool if they raised a banner with the number of games called or something, sort of like how the Blue Jays have Tom Cheek and his games called numbers on their Level of Excellence.
