Anybody from CP going to this? Has anybody been in the past and if so how is it? I wouldn't mind checking it out since its 2 minutes from home but if its virtually all young kids going then I may pass.

Q: What is Red Rally?
A: Red Rally is the fan event you don’t want to miss! Get an autograph and listen to stories from Alumni, current players, and Flames management. Come out and experience the past and present of your beloved Flames; enjoy a twirl around the ice rink with your friends and family, find out the speed of your slap shot, make a hockey card, and get your photo with Legend Harvey the Hound.

Q: Who will be at Red Rally?
A: Pending injuries and unforeseen circumstances, all of the current Flames players will be in attendance at the Fan Rally. A number of the Flames management team will also be in attendance. And, of course, Harvey the Hound!

Q: Can I get player autographs and pictures?
A: Yes, there are designated autograph areas set up commencing at 12:00 p.m. and concluding at 3:30 p.m.

Q: What kind of activities can I expect?
A: There will be a ton to do – this is just the short list!

Slo Mo Booth:

Suit up with hockey themed props, and record a 4 second video. Your video is then turned into a high definition 15 second slow motion video which you can email or upload directly to social media.

Flip Book Maker:

Record a 7 second video acting crazy, and we will create a stunning 60 page Red Rally Flip Book which will act as a great memory of your day for years to come. Flip through the book and watch yourself come to life!

Digital Graffiti Wall:

Take your photo and observe as it is instantly loaded onto a massive 10’x7′ digital wall. Guests can then use digital spray cans to add custom graffiti, and digital props to themselves. Once completed, we will provide a 4×6 high quality printout as a keepsake.

Hockey Card Creation:

Be on your very own hockey card! We will take your photo and provide you with a custom hockey card.

Electronic Hockey Net:

The electronic hockey net will test your shooting skills like no other game. 9 light panels must be turned off by hitting them with the puck. The fastest time is the champion.

I went last year when it was at the Saddledome.

It was meh...

My son really wanted signatures. What they did last year was give everyone one of four coloured wristbands. You were only allowed to line up at the tables with your designated wristband. The Flames players were assigned to one of the four sets of tables. Hence, you only got a chance to meet a few players to get their autographs. If your favourite player was not assigned to your section, too bad.

I don't know what they plan on doing this year, but we're taking a pass on this. A "fan rally", but you were not able to access all of your favourite players. My son's Monahan jersey has Stajan, Ramo and Backlund signatures, but no Monahan signature as he was assigned elsewhere.

I figure since there was a cost for attending, the players should be more readily available.

I went last year as well and I was told by the organizers that they addressed the issue from last year about signatures because there were ALOT of complaints. The wristband thing went over badly as did the banning of pictures with players. They took alot of flak for that one.

It sounds like they will have players at tables again, but it won't be a wristband thing, just line up for what table you want. They will also have guys at some booth taking pictures as well. So it's at least an improvement over last year.

That would be a huge improvement. I have no doubts that there were complaints about the set up last year. The biggest beef was that you could not meet who you wanted to meet. Thanks for clarifying this.

I'm interested in the three Q&A sessions, there is one from a few 89 cup winners, some current flames and a few from hockey ops. In years past, how has this been handled and are they very candid or have flames PR basically told them what's off limits to discuss?
