THN's NCAA top 50
Hockey News has ranked the top 50 NCAA players to watch.
http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/th...w-this-season/
Two Flames on the list, neither of them named Jankowski..
From the article:
"Along with the Fab Five, you will also find the most intriguing players for this year. My choices are largely based on NHL upside"
The bolding is mine.

Something for jankowski to use as motivation. Looks like the guy pretty much just looked at the last couple drafts and threw in some incoming rookies and called it a day.

On the whole it's not a comprehensive article and I really don't want to get another Jankowski thread going.
However I am surprised that he didn't make the top 50. A lot of those guys on the list are not highly-rated prospects

Really does not make sense not to have Jankowski in this Top 50., no matter what subjective criteria Kennedy used.

This link to article site http://collegehockeyinc.com/ went and made a non-ranked list of the next 50 NCAA players to watch
Quote:
Ryan Kennedy, who covers NHL prospects for The Hockey News, put together a terrific list of The 50 NCAA players you need to know this season.
It's a great idea and a terrific list, but we couldn't help thinking, "What about that guy?"
Given that, and the need to fill time before the puck finally drops tomorrow night, here are 50 more players to watch in 2014-15. Kennedy confirms that his choices "are largely based on NHL upside, so you won’t find a ton of upperclassmen, nor free agents." Ours, by contrast, focus on what you'll see this winter. They aren't necessarily the next 50 best players, but ones you'll want to keep an eye on.

If you are looking to read on what they think about Jankowski's impact at the NCAA level.... don't bother ..... he didn't make this list either.

I think Demko is a decent goalie, but his numbers are going to take a hit without JG keeping the puck in the offensive zone for most of the game.

Stick to dreaming up bull#### statistics and leave the college game to those who watch it. Just to tell you how uninformed the article you referenced is, they identified Providence as the favorite to win Hockey East, the toughest conference in all of college hockey, and have only one player on their list of 50. How can a team that is supposed to be the best in the toughest conference have only one player to crack the top 50, and that guy have zero NHL potential? That would be like saying the Kings only have one player in the top 50 in the league, and none of them elite skill in any shape of form. Doesn't make much sense, but neither has THN for years either.

He's just reporting on the article and I don't see him making any judgments about Jankowski. Just saying he ain't there on their list but of course your overreaction is predictable.

I wouldn't put money on that. This is supposed to be the best BC team in years.

They aren't even picked to win the conference

It is the way he said it.
... don't bother ...
Sorry, I've observed Ricardodw long enough to know when he's taking a shot at one of our players, and this was a thinly veiled shot.

how exactly? They add two young quality players in Alex Tuch and Noah Hanifin, but they also lose their four top scorers including the complete line that formed the most dominating trio in recent college hockey history. Add the fact that 1st rounder Sonny Milano made a U-turn in August and went to the OHL instead and I really don't see how this team is any better than last year.
