Habs acquire Tangradi from Jets for Budaj and Holland
Canadiens Montréal @CanadiensMTL
Canadiens acquire Eric Tangradi from the Winnipeg Jets, in return for Peter Budaj and Patrick Holland.
DETAILS -> http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=733061
Looks like the Canadiens won't be exposing Tokarski to waivers.

So does this free up space for Tokarski or for the Habs to sign Brodeur?

When I shout "Boo! Die!!" at the Jets when they're playing the Flames, now it will make even more sense!

Holland on the move again eh? I always wondered how he's been doing. Habs fans with any insight on his progress?
Budaj is simply a low level insurance policy for the horrible goaltending situation in Winnipeg.

Suspect they wanted to be able to send him down right away... so they wanted to see if he'd clear waivers. Also dropped two contracts for one (although I don't know the Habs contract situation)

They gained about a $1M in cap space. CapGeek has them with about $3.5 in space.

Budaj makes things interesting in Winnipeg. Does that force Hutchinson back to St. Johns until the Jets figure out how to dump one of the vets?

Budaj is a total pro, they'll miss his attitude, very popular in the room. Tokarski has more than earned his spot. Good move for the Habs.

I think he just means the Jets picking up the phone and making a trade. That definitely doesn't happen very often.
Cheveldayoff needs a new friends and family plan.. lol
