I just do not see why it should say Bolts on it. That would be like Florida getting one that says Cats, or Vancouver getting one that says Orca.

Does anyone even really call them "Bolts"? I honestly don't think I've ever heard anyone call the team that. Sens, Rags, Pens, Habs, sure... Bolts? No.

Would have looked better with their new logo on the front. Would have been an homage to their original jerseys with the colors. And I agree putting Bolts on the jersey is dumb.

Not really. It is called a lightning bolt. It is not called a panther cat or a canuck orca
Bolt is not a synonym for lightning, it is part of a longer name.
And to Out Of The Cube: lots of people call them the Bolts, including sportscasters (and me, fwiw).
Really like that jersey - nice and clean

Lightning and lightning bolt are no more synonyms than flames and fire (not all lighting is a lightning bolt). It would be equally as dumb if we put Fire across our jersey.
And I have also heard sportscasters call the Panthers "cats" before.
The point is, it is not their name. It would be equally as dumb if the Canadiens wrote "Habs" across their crest, but probably more appropriate.

To claim that flames and fire are not synonyms is to misunderstand the words "flames," "fire," "not," and "synonym."
Also, if the Canadiens mad a "Habs" jersey that would be freaking awesome.

I'm not a big fan of putting nicknames (Sens/Bolts) on a jersey. It seems stupid to me to have an almost slang term on an official uniform.
That said, I'd be all in favour of Edmonton adopting a 'No Good' jersey.
Hell, that jersey would probably be thrown on the ice fewer times than the current one.
