Default Need iphone 5 cables

Hey CP,
Quick question (don't feel like searching). I need a couple new iphone 5 charging cables and I have a buddy who could also use a couple more.
Any suggestions of where to get 5+ cables for a good price and aren't crap?
Thnx

Monoprice.

Keep the order under 4lbs and you can use the cheaper USPS option.

Are these cables actual apple ones or are they the type that you get the whole "This accessory is not compatible" and it no longer works?

I've tried a handful of the cheaper lightning cables and I think the "best" one gave me 6 charges before it gave me the message and never worked again.

Monoprice brand, but Apple certified (just read in the description - they have non-certified too IIRC). I refuse to use non-certified with the lightning cable.

I've had them on an ipad and a phone for a few months, no issue.

I used to buy cheaper iPhone cables, and would play "not supported" roulette. Then one time my wife's phone was dead and the cable that was charging it had a scorch mark on it. Fortunately Apple covered the phone under their "no questions asked" warranty. However since then I decided I would rather spend $100 on the right cables than to worry about my $700 phone needing to be replaced.

I bought some Monoprice lightning cables from Amazon. I have Prime so I ended up getting them cheaper than if I ordered them directly.

Bought a bunch of these retractable cables a month ago. Love em.

Great for the car, or even plugged into this

Their cables are a great deal.

The cables I saw at Rona were RCA branded if that helps.

Monoprice cables are all Apple Certified, they changed about a year ago when Apple kicked up a stink, IIRC

123inkcartridges.ca has them as well. They are based in Vancouver. I got my order in about 3 days. Super cheap - but the cables feel really good.

123ink is my monoprice replacement now

Little bump as I was just going to purchase a couple cables as my replacement one from July is dying and saw that Monoprice actually has them on sale for $9.67. The shipping to Canada if you choose small packet from Canada Post is about $3.60.

http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_i...seq=1&format=2

Edit: Apparently it was a flash deal. It was over at midnight.
