Bought it hoping to unlock it and try out the latest Windows phone OS. This phone can not be unlocked so it will only work on Rogers and Chatr.

Great phone, not great enough to switch to Rogers though.

What do you mean it cant be unlocked? I have seen more then one of them Unlocked when I worked at Rogers.

Oh sure, if you have a Rogers account they will unlock it for $50. But if you have a Rogers account why unlock it?

I don't have a Rogers account anymore. And I would never pay $50 to unlock a phone. That's typical Rogers robbery.

The usual unlock places that charge $10-15 don't have this IMEI in their database. Some Lumia 920 models can be unlocked cheap and easy, some can't. Google it and you'll find lots of examples of both.

So, as the ad stated. It's a Rogers locked phone for $50. It's a great deal for a former flagship phone if anyone wants to try windows.
