Good thing his manager (or whomever) was there or things could have gotten really ugly. He was on Off The Record yesterday but I didn't watch because I can't stand Michael Landsberg.
I honestly think the guy tries to be normal and good, but he is so damaged that he can't control things. In a way, I feel sorry for him. It has to be tormenting to be like that.

Listen to the Q interview, he touches on those very points....

I'm sorry, but if this were some random dude who'd been convicted of rape, pumping up a mayoral candidate, no one would be very impressed. Because the guy was a good boxer and appeared in couple of Hangover movies, he suddenly becomes a swell dude whose opinions I should care about?

I am not sure anyone has said he is a "swell dude". Perhaps the individual considers him awesome for his spectacle, or moustache style....
I would however, hope that mose sane people would not this he is "awesome" because he is a convicted rapist, just like I would hope that most sane people would go straight to the assumption that the individual thinks he is "awesome" because he is a convicted rapist.

I couldn't hear it very well but he got upset because the guy brought up his rape charge? Why did he bring it up?

The thing is you clicked in a thread that has "Mike Tyson" in the title... At least he's congruent.. some thing you lack.

Well I was mostly trying to be facetious, but it is a little bothersome that this guy gets celebrated as much as he does when considering his past, and the fact that he has never shown any remorse for it.

When your list of bothersome people in the celebrity/athletice realm must be long.
