Just got my season ticket package today. It looks like there are 6 home games designated as "Throwback Thursdays". Do you think that means they wear the retro jerseys on those nights? Anyone know anything about Throwback Thursdays?
My guess is either bringing in an old player or doing throwback prices at the concession. Nachos for $5, just like they were 20 years ago! Or having no sponsorships for those games so all the boards are white (so Sportsnet can superimpose their own ads)
Sounds like more of a nod to the recognition of the Twitter and Facebook trend of "Throwback Thursdays" and trying to relate to that audience.
Without retro jerseys around, the Flames do have almost 35 years of archive footage they could dip into for between whistle segments, that they currently crank out on the one or two "Retro" nights per season; that's probably about as far as its going to go, I would doubt they'd go back to concession pricing.

Yes the GM and ownership want to 'throwback' to 1990's revenue
