Mgtow
Men/Man Going Their Own Way.
MGTOW is basically the statement of self-ownership and saying that only you have the right to decide what your goals in life should be.
It is saying that, as a man I will not surrender my will to the social expectations of women and society, because both have become hostile against masculinity.
I'm wondering if anyone here is a MGTOW. Many men are mgtow, but don't even know about it.

Ideally MGTOW means walking into the wilderness and being a hermit I guess.

So, as a MGTOW, one can rejoice is the glory of drinking alone in a trailer on the outskirts of town, or with his fellow MGTOW's at the local hole in the wall, where the waitresses earn extra tips by wearing jeans with holes in the ass?
I don't get it...

Sometimes I'm on the sidewalk, and I'm walking, and then I just randomly decide to turn around and walk back the way I originally came from. Then someone says, "Hey little buddy, you lost? Did you lose your mom?" and I say "NO!" and then I run really fast until I get home and my kitty says "Meow!" and everything's ok again.

Hahaha the day the Men's Rights idiots march into CP.
You want to know what these schmucks stand for? Go read Return Of Kings or r/redpill (actually, don't. It's ####ign terrible and they shouldn't get any site traffic. You probably don't want to read it at work either unless you want your boss to think you're a rapist)

Is there a back story as to why you started this thread? Is this a philosophy to which you adhere? How flexible are the rules? Do you believe in some aspects of the philosophy, but not others?
It honestly sounds kind of ######ed, so maybe if you fill in some of the blanks with a little more detail or if you share some of your experience with MGTOW for context and clarity things will make a little more sense and we can all contribute to - and learn from - this thread.

The philosophy basically boils down to:
Women have too much power
Men (especially white men) are marginalized

Even if your not MGTOW DON'T GET MARRIED. Marriage is bondage...Why men give away their leverage, I will never know.

I actually subscribe to a similar mentality.
I have seen too many men get jerked around in divorces, couples living utterly miserable lives just to keep some sort of family unit image, couples leveraging children as pawns in divorce and I have had a couple pretty brutal experiences with women myself. One that cost me close to $50k for being a 'nice guy'.
I don't dislike women though, I love them. I don't have a misogynistic bone in my body. But I only let women get as close as casual dating, and I date a lot. That is how I plan to live my life for the foreseeable future. I will not let anyone, man or woman, dictate anything I do anymore, and will make zero compromises. Take me as I am, or don't bother at all, and I forward the same courtesy to anyone I am dating. Don't make a single compromise for me either. And that is made clear right from the start. And I have never been happier.
Wake up and want a new motorcycle? Done by noon.
Want to smoke a giant fat cigar in your living room? Light it up.
Want to go camping with your buddies at the last minute? I'll bring the beer.
Thinking of booking a trip to Vegas for no other reason than 'something to do'? I'm leaving tomorrow.
In my late 20's and early 30's, friends would give me these weird sympathetic speeches about how "One day you will find the right girl." Now I am approaching 40, most of them would do anything to escape their burnt out, sexless marriages, and mountains of brutal debt trying to be the ultimate provider. Meanwhile, I am sitting in an all but paid off bachelor pad, and have all the time in the world to pursue all my hobbies, or just chill out and do nothing at all if I please.
It ain't that bad at all, and I believe it will start becoming a very common trend.
