Default Phoenix Draft Hockey Tourney Sportsman Weekend

A lot of CP’ers are sports junkies so I wanted to post here. There is a draft hockey tournament being hosted in Phoenix Nov 7-9. If no one has been to one they are pretty fun. A draft party where the teams are made via a drinking contest. You also get a jersey, socks, pant shell, 2 nights hotel, and a ticket to a Coyotes/Islanders game. To be completely transparent... I have went to a few and liked them so much I started working for the company that hosts them .

It’s actually the perfect weekend in Phoenix because in addition to the NHL game on Saturday night the Cardinals- NFL and the Suns -NBA play on Sunday. The Cardinals play the Rams and the Suns play the Warriors. I wanted to toss this out there if anyone was interested in playing some hockey and checking out 3 pro sports in the same weekend. The tournament includes a ticket to the NHL game and is working on group pricing for the other 2 games.

You can see more info here: http://bit.ly/PHXDraftTourney

Also here is an example of a uniform at a past event:

Man, you have to have a lot of gas in the tank to play in the tourney, drink and then go to some sports events on top of that

To play in the tournament it's $579 ($529 if you sign up with 2 or more buddies). That includes 5 games, draft party, jersey, socks, pant shell, 2 nights hotel and a ticket to the NHL game. The tickets to NFL and NBA will be extra and I'm working with the Cardinals and Suns now for group pricing.

Phoenix will be my 7th draft tournament since moving here in September. They are really fun. I think it's more the atmosphere and playing hockey in an atmosphere thats more about drinking and having fun that make me like these more than a lot of team tourneys I have been a part of. Yes it gets tough to play that much , drink that much, and then to add some sport events in to the mix but hey.... it's worth a try.

The tournament hotel is right on a golf course. You could also bring your clubs and get in a round or two to add to the weekend of sports.
