Default Innocent bystander killed

I drove to the drum and monkey at 8am to watch soccer early this morning to see the area right outside all taped off.

Oh my goodness. That's tragic. I don't live too far away, and also visit the Drum for both wings, beers and footy.

RIP

That is just brutal. RIP

This is the thing that Police have saying would eventually happen. It's one thing to have low-lifes and gang thugs shooting each other up, but it was only a matter of time before gunplay hurt someone completely innocent.

You can be sure this is the top priority withing Policing circles right now, wonder if a major sweep/crackdown is about to occur?

Sadly this is not the first innocent bystander to be injured/killed. What about the one fellow in that Bolsa restaurant? Or the Brazilian guy that lost his sight after getting hit near Chinatown?

The guys that do this are pure scum and cowards. Don't have the guts to face whoever they have their "dispute" with directly so they just shoot in that general direction, not caring who else is in the area. Truly sad that someone could just be out grabbing a bite and some POS decides its a good idea to start firing.

Terrible. I go to the Drum every once in a while. Sad and scary.

Very sad for the victim and her family and friends.

I believe that this kind of crime should be an automatic life sentence with no parole.

Period.

the guy who did the shooting is a scumbag piece of garbage.

Just a note to the investigator at the scene in the picture being used by media. Maybe try not be caught laughing on your phone while media is filming the scene of a deadly shooting with an innocent victim.

I know it's minor, but seriously man, we're all human and maybe something in your conversation was funny and unrelated to this girl's death, but c'mon, be smarter than that.

Doesn't look like he's laughing into the phone to me. Looks like he's bending out of the wind. Maybe don't be so sensitive/looking to be offended?

I'm not offended, just suggested he shouldn't have been laughing on the phone while media was watching.

If he's doing what you think he's doing then fair enough. Pretty minor thing anyways, I shouldn't really have mentioned it, looking back.
