Light the Lamp Hockey Tourney - Teams Needed!

Hi all, where else is better to find beer league teams to help out a great cause than CP!!

I'm helping organize a hockey tournament this September 5-7th in support of the Renfrew School in Calgary. Renfrew specializes in helping kids with motor disabilities (CP, CF, Downs, etc.).

The founder of the tourney has a wonderful daughter with CP and she attends Renfrew.

We're looking for Div 3 - 8 skilled teams to play in the tourney. Cost is $1250 per team which includes some prizes, tickets to the fund raising party on Saturday night, min 3 games, etc. Have a look at the website for a bit more info. It's being updated as well, so check back frequently or ask!

Also looking for any sponsorship (programs/BBQ/Barn Burner Social/ etc) or silent auction items from people/companies on CP to help make this tourney even better than last year!!

We could do some cheap jerseys with CP's logo as well. I'd just have to get permission. I'll get a cost for that too.

MattyC's skill level - Don't really know all that much about the adult divisions but I would assume I could play at the top level (although I'm not sure I have doochitude for that.) I prefer defense, but can play anywhere.

Hahaha yeah. I'm American too but was brought to this great nation at 4 years old and thus have adopted the Canadian hockey skills.

I saw this posted before and it really made me want to join the team, just wasn't sure about the low level. I'm sure it would be enjoyable though, as long as people can skate and take/make passes, it's all good.

Now those are pretty rad jerseys! I will pencil in a CP team and Nicker has offered to help organize it (thanks!!). I'm pretty sure I've got a goalie for the team as well, but if someone on CP wants to tend the pipes let me or Nicker know!
