Default Appliance Recycling

Does anyone know where I can take an old stove and an old microwave for recycling? I live in the SW by Glenmore and Sarcee.

There's a place in Curry Barracks close to the Farmers' Market that'll take your microwave for sure, not sure about the stove. Sorry, but the name of the place escapes me. Recycle Logic?

Here it is - click on map:

Cool. I knew I'd seen something near there before. Do you actually have to speak to someone or just dump your stuff and leave?

The City dump will take and recycle old appliances...

I did a kitchen reno in my last house and brought all my old stuff there.

There're always people there to assist you. They encourage you to not even leave your vehicle as they grab your expired electronics.

A little bit off topic. Why is there no place in Calgary to recycle styrofoam? I know there's a place in Cochrane where you can recycle styrofoam but I can't find a place in Calgary.

It burned down around 10 years ago and no one has ever rebuilt such a facility within Calgary.

A real big bump on this thread... But does anyone know where I can recycle an old over the range microwave? It doesn't work so donating it isn't an option...
