Default Happy 21st Birthday Johnny Gaudreau!

Happy Birthday Johnny Hockey!

Look forward to seeing him in the Flaming C again in September!

As part of the festivities, I think we should all marvel at the absurd skill of one of our Flames' most promising prospects:

Huge props to our very own Anthony Cook (AC) for his awesome videos.

And one more... Gaudreau's Hobey Baker highlights:

I'm glad he's a Flame already, but I do feel for him that he never got to experience Mary Ann's bar as an adult. So many great memories from that place from my BC days. Though I'm sure he experienced things at every house party that most of us could only dream of.

What a complete bust. He's 21 and not an impact player in the NHL. Only 1 NHL goal at age 21? Pfffffffft

I think he'll make the team, but I am hoping that the fans of Glens Falls see him live a few times.

The only thing that would make Johnny's 21st better would be if he were playing somewhere and scored a hat trick.

Re-watching those first NHL game highlights, it's hard not to get excited for this team's future. What strikes me is how smart he was positionally in that game, especially coming back on defence. That and how he keeps pucks alive in the offensive zone.

(I also love that it was the grizzled vet Sean Monahan who fished the puck out of the net for JG's first NHL goal...)

We should do a poll for who he thinks he will make the team next year. I think he will.

I asked in the poll request thread for a poll to be added to this thread.

Call me crazy, but watching all the highlights from the OP, am I the only who thinks his toe-drag count is a little close to Eberle level?

Johnny scores his toe drags, or at least makes it a scoring chance.

For Gaudreau, the toe drag is a tool, an arrow in his quiver.

For Eberle and the Oilers, it is a lifestyle.
