Following Winterhawks and prospects in the WHL playoffs!
I figured since we're all pretty excited for/about Sven, it would be useful to have a thread that watches how he goes in the Memorial Cup. I'll update this post with the results of the Winterhawks games and how Sven does! (I'm adding totals and series for other prospects but not game-to-game results)

Just Listening to the Winterhawk's broadcast, Ty Rattie just scored, on a assist from Sven. Broadcaster's describing Baertchi deking four players, then deking Rocket's goalie, before feeding Rattie for his goal.
Baertchi is all over the place..woo!!!!
Winterhawk's up 2-1...Sven 2 assists so far this game

Ha. Just as I check the score on winterhawks.com and see his two assists is the same time I checked cp and this thread was at the top. Hope sven rips it up.

Sven talking right now, saying it's not quite as fast as NHL, took some time to get used to the speed change.
RE: Calgary, saying wanted to try best, getting the 2 goals at home was just awesome. Great atmosphere up there. Was crazy nervous before first game, the guys gave him a lot of confidence and helped him out a lot.

Postgame:
Winterhawks win 6 - 3
Sven getting a huge wrap in the post-game, he had an awesome game and had two huge setups for Rattie, comparisons to Hossa are made. Sven sped through the neutral zone and undressed 3 players to move right in to bait the goalie and pass over to Rattie to hit the open net, play of the game.
Ty Rattie with a hattrick and Wotherspoon with a solid game at +2 with an assist. Sven wholeheartedly deserved the games second star.
Post-game interview with Sven:
Huge wrap for Rattie and their chemistry, very modest. Time in Calgary: incredible atmosphere, crazy nervous, all the players helped him out every chance they got and improved his confidence. (nothing new really).

In all "Flames Prospects in the WHL Playoffs" news for Friday night:
Portland 6 - Kelowna 3 (Game 1) -- Baertschi with 2 assists and Wotherspoon with 1 assist.
Edmonton 3 - Kootenay 0 (Game 1) -- Laurent Brossoit with the shutout for the Oil Kings, no points for Reinhart or Leach for the Ice.
Calgary 4 - Brandon 0 (Game 2) -- Ferland and the Wheat Kings shutout in Game 2 of their series, but he had a goal and an assist in Brandon's 6-2 win in Game 1 on Thursday.

Might as well. He will most likely be on the team next year and I dont think we are going to trade a good young prospect like him. Plus its hilarious.

That second assist of Baertshi's was beautiful. Nice to know he can fit both roles. He can set up a scorer like rattie but he can also be the scorer (on the flames this season) when he needs too. Here hopefully to a brighter future.
