Crazy couple of days, could be unrelated to the bombing yesterday but that would be pretty coincidental.

For those of you wondering, as I was, Roger Wicker is Republican senator from Mississippi.
He's strongly pro-gun, but did vote to end a gun control filibuster last week.

Big time. I don't think you can be accidentally exposed to it. Getting it from the Castor seed takes work.

If it was addressed to Obama, wouldn't it be Treason?

Does the person actually think this is going to work, or is it done as an ominous gesture because they know it will be found and reported?

But would it be an attempted murder charge or something bigger?

I would assume with the Senator it would be attempted murder. With the President it could be treason.

Look at that, domestic terrorism making a comeback.

How fun is treason as a word? I mean, really. It just oozes drama.

How exactly are these flagged as imagine senators and the president get a lot of mail? Every single letter tested? Is there some easy way to screen the mail by x-ray or dog sniffing? Pretty impressive that these are intercepted without any fatalities.

These letters are plants, man. The government is doing it themselves to drum up more fear and take away your guns.

I don't know if they scan every letter, but I've read a long list of red flags that will get a letter extra scrutiny. Apparently these letters did not have return addresses on the front, and that's definitely one of the red flags. Excessive postage stamps and addresses in block letters are two of the others that I remember, but I know there were a lot more.
