Default I need some CP help for my proposal!

Hey guys, I'm proposing to my girlfriend fairly quickly and for it to work as planned I need one of those domed serving plates (a cloche). I've searched all over town and they are kind of out dated but I was hoping someone here had one I could borrow or knew where to find one.
They are just the typical metal/silver plates with the dome topper that you pull off to present the food.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I tried, no luck unfortunately. I've also tried a few hotels that have room service, vintage chophouse, great events rentals, some catering companies, among others haha. I thought this would be the easy part of the proposal but apparently not.

The only place I can think of where I see them are at hotels when they deliver room service. Maybe you can snag one from them...?

Good luck!

Does it have to be large? If not you could get a covered butter dish type of deal.

My wife bought a nice looking blue one from Lina's Italian Store on Centre not too long ago.

If all else fails, I can make you one?

All i'll need is a bowl, a plate, and half a tube of aluminum foil.

Have you tried Hendrix Equipment Supply? It is retail sales as well. They don't have a cloche by name, but they have these which are close in design:

Might also try Crown Food Equipment: http://www.crownfoodequipment.com/ I've found some obscure kitchen gadgets in there before.

Worst case, what about these? Metal Plate Cover (unfortunately it's a set, but it would give you a similar look as a cloche): http://www.bedbathandbeyond.ca/store...d=serving+dish

La Chameurie does have them. Stuffy not so, just dedicated to service and good food.

I imagine that place on centre street next to Domino's going down towards the Lions Bridge or around that area may sell those types of things as they sell restaurant equipment.

No no no, he said quickly, not soon. So he must have meant he's going to rush the words out of his mouth as fast as he can. She may not understand what he's saying, but when he pops the lid off the plate to reveal the ring, she'll know what he actually said.

Just My opinion. If you have to ask an internet forum . You not ready. You are suppose to know her best. Not the collective on a group that just happen to share a hobby.
