Default Remainging UFA's

Spoiler!

Here is the complete list of remaining UFA's though I think capgeek has missed removing a few of the lesser name guys who I have heard signed i.e. Breen, Sutter etc.

Who out of that would you like to see??

Vrbata - 2 year deal, 3 at most
Heatley - 1 year deal preferably, 2 at most
Del Zotto - 3 year deal
Setoguchi - 2 year deal

I don't want all these guys, just some of the ones I hope we are looking at, especially Del Zotto. I know it's strange that NYR and Nashville kinda threw in the towel on the guy but there is just too much raw talent there to ignore. I think Hartley could coach him.

Maybe Vrbata on a 2-3 year deal, but other than that, meh.

Some interesting names on there. Wonder where Morrow and Roy will land.

If we do sign any more FAs I only want to see 1 more defenseman. I wouldn't mind Mcbain or Del Zotto on a 2 year deal

I'd be keen for us to sign Vrbata, Devin Setoguchi or Mike Santorelli.

Del Zotto could be a good reclamation project. Such a talent...

I'd take a chance on Setoguchi on a reclamation deal like Tanguay got after his year in Tampa. Except for last year, he has averaged over 0.5 points per game in every season after his rookie year.

He's an under 30, right shooting RW, and a Southern Alberta kid to boot.

Setoguchi's decline has been a bit of a mystery to me. Such a promising player he was! Anyone knows if there were some serious personal issues affecting his performance?

Very surprised that Setoguchi hasn't been claimed by anyone. I think he'd be a decent fit on the Flames assuming there's space for him

If we signed Setoguchi he'd get most of Cammys minutes, and he'd fit in well on the RW

I want there to be space for Baerschi and Gaudreau to earn spots on the LW, but I wouldn't mind seeing Seto get a top 2 RW spot

I'd like to see Drayson Bowman on our AHL team this year, he's still got some potential

Because people are hooked on potential. Not to mention, it's easier to see an offensive dman figure it out in his own zone than the other way around.

Because that D-man that emerged in his rookie year I think is still there. D-men take longer to mature, especially in their own zone, look at Gio from when he went to Russia for a year to now. Del Zotto at 3 or even 4 mill per for 2 years is the perfect opportunity for low risk high reward and the Flames have everything allowing them to do this. I hope there is smoke to that eklund rumour as laughable as that sounds.

Here's that 09/10 D-man I talked about

Two teams walked away from him. One without hardly ever having him play. Do not want.

It's clearly more than declining play and it goes against everything Treliving is doing to bring in a bad teammate

Edit: added hardly for clarification

I am hoping the flames are done with most of free agency and go the trade route. Since Feaster was fired the flames have made 4 deals. Nemisz for Westgarth, Stempniak for a 3rd, Berra for a 2nd and a 3rd for Bollig.

Pretty boring in terms of player movement since the management has changed
