Good for Adam Pardy, I didn't mind him when he was here. I think we've had worse Dmen since he left.

In the few times on saw him with the Jets, he looked like a competent NHLer, just took him a while.

If anyone is familiar with the show Big Brother, Pardy's cousin won the Canadian version of the show this year.

Glad for Pardy, he showed some promise as a Flame. I recall he made a great play in Game 3 vs Chicago on Moss' goal.

I recall when he got signed by Dallas for $2M a year the sentiment on CP was basically that it was way too much, but good for him.

According to Wiki, he is from Bonavista, NFLD. a town of 3,764 people. Bonavista was built on an open plain, not in a steep cove, and thus had room to expand to its current area of 31.5 square kilometres.

In 2006, the automobile company Nissan developed a new SUV named Nissan X-Trail Bonavista Edition, which was supposedly inspired by the beauty of Newfoundland and named after the historical town. However, the commercial itself backfired when Bonavista Mayor Betty Fitzgerald, claimed it had portrayed people in Bonavista as people who cannot speak properly. To further expose the commercial's lack of linguistic authenticity, CBC News reported the sales rep was played by an actor from Cape Breton Island.

I don't know what to say but for your info, it's become a running joke that every time his name was mentioned on a Flames broadcast, the play by play guy would say " he's from Bonavista Newfoundland?"
