Boomer: Flames are kicking tires to trade up to #2. Draisaitl might be the target.
Boomer says the Flames are kicking tires on trading up to #2.
Conroy says the Flames never made an official offer to Florida for #1.
Boomer says that he believes Flames never brought Draisaitl to Calgary for an interview/tour, but he is hearing that the Flames have had multiple interviews with Draisaitl and (Boomer speculates) he might be their guy.

Makes sense. Neither Ekblad or Draisaitl will slip past Edmonton, so if they want one of them they have to get ahead.

IF they are kicking tires on #2, and if Draisaitl is their guy, then it's clear EDM is taking him at #3.

Not if Vancouver moves up to #1 and drafts Reinhart. Nothing wrong with kicking the tires though.

The other thing could be that they really want one of the Sam's and they have fears that if they could be gone 1-2 with Ekblad dropping to 3 and them being left with Draisaitl.

Please don't!!! Why waste giving up one or two of our prospect for #2? I know we won't get a chance to pick Ekblad but I will be happy for them to pick one of the Sams or even Leon.

On HF someone posted that Loubardias said one scout told him picking Reinhart top 3 would cost someone their job.

Moving to 2 really lets them pick the guy (or at least the 2nd guy) that they want, instead of just accepting whoever's left.
If the price isn't too steep, giv'r.
#4 & Sven for #2 and maybe a 2nd? Buffalo has alot of picks to throw around.... #39 or #49?

Hopefully it would cost no more than adding the av's second round pick. A little puzzled that the move would be to get Draisaitl? But scouts would know better than me.
