That media player on TSN blows, I can't fast forward or rewind or anything.

On topic, I thought it was even worse for Bettman to repeat this unethical behaviour for the Penguins with his rotten balls in the Crosby draft.

At least Angotti is honest, unlike Johnston. I mean, who is he trying to fool?

Seems like they have used this strategy a few times now.

So is this just a preview? Didn't seem like there was much to it: "We tanked." "We would never, ever tank." "What's tanking?" "We tanked." "No we didn't." FIN

Mark my words:

The 2014-15 season is going to be the most disgraceful NHL season ever.

We will see the tankiest tanks that ever tanked.

Last year was horrible, where teams were taking advantage of the fact that they only had to suck for half a season to get a good spot in a good draft.

But with the whole McDavid, Eichel, et al, top end of this upcoming draft, we might see teams like Edmonton and the entire former South East division not win a single game after the trade deadline.

I cringe just thinking about it.

There is a half hour show on TSN on Tuesday. I haven't watched this video but if it's less than that it's likely just a preview.

Will we? We may well draft another centre on Friday and have a 3 of Backlund, Monahan and Bennett/Reinhart, but if we were near the bottom 5 near the trade deadline, would we shift some of the vets, take the short term hit and try and finish in the bottom 3?

This is the big problem when a touted generational prospect comes along. You only have to look at how it benefitted Pittsburgh on 2 occasions to know that every poor teams hierarchies will give it some serious thought.

I wouldn't put it past Burke tbh.

That was a cool watch.

And holy hell, has Mike Bullard aged badly. You would never think the guy was an elite NHL sniper at one time looking at him there.

I disagree. Oil change is fantastic. It gives us Flames fans a look into the dressing room gloom of the Oilers whenever the Flames smear them in the BOA.

Seeing the behind the scenes of the 8-2 drubbing was priceless. I hope they continue it for years to come. Pure entertainment.

Things like that don't work for us. The prospects we call up to replace the traded vets play out of their mind and we just miss the playoffs.

We did year before last. I'm amused at the outcry against the Avs around here when, by far, the tankiest team at the end was the Flames. The healthy scratches Flames made for some of those final games was simply embarrassing and shameful - but netted us Monahan. So who can blame them...
But that was before Burke - I don't think he will allow tanking to happen. He certainly didn't last year anyway.
