Let's Talk About Stub Hub
So my wife wants to take my daughter to see Katy PErry and I was looking at Stub Hub to buy tickets.
how can I avoid getting screwed buying tickets on StubHub.
pS - I considered those tickets being offered on CP; however, My wife does not want to risk horsing around with seats on concert night.

By using StubHub.
Seriously, as a seller they have verified my credit card, and I don't get paid until after the event. Plus if something does happen, keep their 1-800 number handy. If there is an issue they always have other tickets available to give you at a moment's notice.

I've used StubHub dozens of times to both buy and sell and never had a problem. There is a guarantee for buyers as well.

StubHub is the BEST way to buy scalped tickets.
At last, no more having to deal with the gross Denver Broncos guy at the top of Stampede Station

The safest bet to buy tickets after the seats you want are sold out.

Yeah Stubhub is great on both ends.
Sold some tickets on there, the buyer lost them, Stubhub calls me to reprint them and waives the sellers fee for helping the buyer out.

+1 for Stubhub here.
EDIT: Just to add, that's if you can get your head around the prices. But scalping is accepted now and I do think that it is a service that makes sense in small doses. The problem I have with it is more the evil organization of ticketmaster and related groups actively encouraging and making money off scalping.

I've used StubHub for quite a few events including the Eastern Conference Final in New York. I've never had an issue. Keep that 1-800 number handy just in case, but you'll be fine.

The app works quite well (Android). I've used it quite a few times to get last minute tickets.

I've used stub hub a few times and never had a problem. I've also sold on there and I know sellers have to give their credit card info. So if there ever were an issue the seller would get charged on their card. I believe they also have a 100% guarantee. So basically it's highly unlikely you'd ever have an issue. The prices are steep but you do have assurance the tickets will be legit

Yup Stub Hub is the way to go. Once you get over the greasy feeling of paying extra for tickets it's actually a really good experience from the buyer's end.

I pulled the trigger and ordered the tickets. They are supposed to be delivered by June 20.....

With Stub Hub, you're paying 15% extra for convenience and security. Then again sometimes Stubhub can be as cheap or cheaper, especially for last minute tickets.

Tickets on Stub Hub are not always over face value, depends on the event. I buy tickets to hockey games at Joe Louis every year and routinely pay less than face value. Its a great service, I had problems once and they fixed it within about 1/2 hour plus gave me a credit on my next purchase.

We were in Montreal during playoffs. We paid 110 per ticket and face value was about 60. Good experience, with stubhub as well as the win against Tampa Bay. Everybody in Mtl was a Rene Bourque fan that night.

Stub hub is excellent. Been using them for years for a variety of events.
In our area I have actually gone to stub hub shortly after tickets go on sale at ticketaster as the event season ticket holders will often put their tickets on for cheaper than ticketmaster. Did just that for Pearl Jam in Oklahoma city and again for the upcoming Tulsa show.
