Free Agents. Who do we re-sign?
I know we've had a dozen or so of these threads this year, and a few threads for specific players, but now that every game has been played there's hopefully some more clarity on the issue.
So, the Flames have 19 pending Free Agents this off-season. Who do you want to see return?

Colborne
Cundari
Eddy
Galiardi
Hanowski
Martin
Ortio
Roy

Only one I disagree on is Galiardi. Indifferent on Street

Hard to disagree with this list.
It's probably worth keeping one of Jones or Street around as a vet scorer for the Heat

So who's playing on the heat if your not re-signing Street, Jones, Breen, Smith, Roy, Martin, Hanowski, Eddy, Cundari, Billins?

I didn't see Duane Eddy play so I am not sure if Flames should sign him. Chris Breen doesn't look like he is going to be in NHL full-time soon. I think he could be another Adam Pardy that couldn't hack it the first few seasons then get a chance somewhere else or he might just an AHL type defenseman. I like Blair Jones but I am not sure Flames have any spot for him in the NHL. Maybe for their AHL team. Other than that, i am hoping he gets a chance to play full-time somewhere else.
Hanowski and Cundari : Another few season in the AHL might help them. Olivier Roy sign him on a minor league contract to play for our ECHL team.

I really want the Flames to drop Westgarth and pick up Matt Kassian if Burke insists on having two tough guys on the team again.

A lot so far are iffy with MacDonald but Burke has already said he doesn't want ortio playing backup so if we drop Mac and keep ramo who becomes the backup? I think Joey should be kept as he has shown to be a decent nhl backup and could be had for cheap.

Don't really want any of the UFA's back. Undecided on Cundari.

Money is no object and we have cap space coming out our ears so I'd be willing to splurge a couple million on a top notch backup who could play 30 games. Maybe we bring Marty in. Ramo should play 50 or so next year. Plus I'd buy a Brodeur Flames jersey in a heartbeat.
Regardless, Mac is what he is. A fair to middling if not bottom tier backup goalie. We can do better.

Would prefer a 1 yr deal for cammy and ship him at the deadline if we are out of it.

- Billins is at least a good Heat player, but he's young and could still get better.
- Bouma, Colborne and Ortio all need to be re-signed for obvious reasons.
- Breen should come back, give him another chance to show what he's got.
- Butler has been much better this season, if they can sign him for the right price then I'd be okay with an extension.
- Either sign MacDonald or another backup for Ramo, doesn't matter either way.
- Street is a good veteran presence for the Heat.
- If Burke insists on having two tough guys, Westgarth isn't a bad guy to have.

Westgrath and Grats were great on the 4th line. If rather get tougher in the top 9 department by adding a Ferland (if he makes it) and a Christ Stewart (something like him but better work ethic)

Brodeur is a pipe dream. He played 39 games and has already said if he plays somewhere it won't be for less games. If we want ramo to succeed and progress it can't be playing half a season. If going after a potential free agent flames should look at Elliot, emery or even trying to get Johnson out of boston
