The what ifs of all what ifs ...
What if the Draft shakes down like this ...
1. Florida - Reinhart
2. Buffalo - Ehlers
3. Edmonton - Ekblad
What do the Flames do at 4 between Bennett and Draisaitl?
Who do you think the Flames would pick?

I picked Bennett too ... don't get me wrong.
But I was a bit curious given the momentum that Draisaitl has gained in the past few weeks. Plus this sets up a comparison of running the exact same poll of Reinhart to Draisaitl to see how they differ

Doh, I ruined it - I actually really like Bennett but Drais has grown on me from the articles I've been reading the past few weeks.

It's hardley trolling. Bennet looks like the better prospect for most of us, but these two are a lot closer then a few of you seen to think.

Lol, it was a joke. Draisaitl is a great prospect, but I would only want to take him if Ekblad, Reinhart, and Bennett are chosen. We can use a player like Bennett who is a comparable to M. Richards/Gilmour. I only want Draisaitl if the other three are picked. I considered it trolling for fun because the vote was still 100% at the time.

Both look like they are going to be very good players. Bennett's skating and tenacity give him a slight edge IMO.

Bennett for sure. Don't get me wrong Draisaitl is a great prospect, just Bennett is better.
I see the draft going one of two ways:
FLA: Ekblad
BUF: Bennett
EDM: Draisaitl
CGY: Reinhart
or
FLA: Ekblad
BUF: Reinhart
EDM: Bennett
CGY: Draisaitl

So if 99% of people pick Bennett, how do we justify our results that Edmonton picks Draisaitl in the mock draft poll?

I also think the 2 are actually pretty close, and if we didn't already have Monahan at center, I might lean more towards Draisaitl.
(I can see Bennett playing wing at the NHL level)

Bennett to me is one of those players that can be the straw stirring the drink for a team. The guy that you can rely on in all situations. Unfortunately I simply don't see how he makes it past Buffalo or Florida.

I justify it because Bennett won't be an option for the Oilers. He is likely going 1st or 2nd overall as he's the best forward in the draft.

Organizational need? Oilers need a big center. Plus Draisaitl is more likely to play in the NHL next year and they need someone that can play now.

I'm at the point where if we happen to wind up with Ekblad or one of the Sams I will be ecstatic.
If we have to 'settle' for Draisatl I will be merely happy.
If it comes down to Draisatl or Dal Colle I would even classify myself as content if they pick Dal Colle.
Bring on the draft.
