There was something on twitter a couple days ago. They were setting up for it so you haven't missed it.
I think it's supposed to be at the end of May.

It will be either May 31 or June 7, depending on the roughnecks schedule.

No, you have to try and steal those.
Or at least that's what I've heard.

I'd like to buy ...
Berra's goalie catcher,
Butler's shoulder pads,
McGrattan's gloves
All should be in pretty good shape.

They said on the Facebook page that they will have guests for autographs at the sale, they just don't know who it will be yet.
Also, they are selling the 2012-13 game used jerseys for 25% off that day as well. There was quite a bit left over from last year and depending on the player you could get one for around $250.

The helmets are cheaper than I thought. Ive been looking to buy a helmet as I'm learning to skate (I'm from England), so why not buy a Flames worn one?

Are the sticks on sale player-used sticks or do they have some brand new sticks for sale too? Same goes with helmets and other equipment? I don't care too much for used equipment that had the players' sweat stains, but I do want to pick up some high-quality equipment at a cheaper price.

Be aware that helmets do not have to be certified for NHL use so an NHL'ers helmet may be essentially a hat that looks like a helmet.

I believe they do have some team issued equipment in addition to the game used/worn equipment. When I went last year that was on a separate table and even later in the day wasn't that picked through as most people want the used items. I do remember seeing helmets that were blank and pretty new looking.

Great point, and on top of that, some of the helmets are altered and sized to the specific players. So it may look like you can adjust them afterwards the way you would a normal store bought helmet, but you really can't. The foam is custom made and glued into the helmet and some of them have inserts that can't easily be removed.

Thanks for the advice guys, maybe I'll get my own. I'll have a sniff around anyway and see what I can find.
