Icon60 Feaster returns to the Lightning organization

The former Lightning and Calgary Flames general manager will rejoin the organization as Executive Director of Community Hockey Development.

http://www.rawcharge.com/2014/7/2/58...-feaster-hired

Quote:
Raw Charge has learned Feaster has been hired to help cultivate the local game of hockey from the ground up - youth and high school hockey will be his focus as Executive Director of Community Hockey Development. He'll be working with assets already part of the Lightning executive suite to give more focus and support to local high school programs as well as aiding the local rinks.

Feaster should officially begin work with the club after the Forth of July weekend.

Community Hockey Development sounds like a better fit in front of Feaster's name than General Manager imo.

Yeah, talked to a guy a couple of weeks ago that lived in the same area as Feaster here in Calgary. He said the Feaster family was moving to Tampa.

He said Feaster had a huge garage sale of Flames stuff, game worn jerseys, jackets etc. that went for cheap. Wish I could have got in on that jackpot.

Good luck Jay.

He seemed to be a nice guy when he wasn't talking hockey.

This seems to be a much better fit and use of his abilities than being invovled in evaluating hockey talent.

Jay is still a Stanley Cup winning General Manager. Good for him to be getting back into hockey, even if it is with highschool/community kids to grow the sport in the Southern U.S.
