Where can I get bins like this?
Just ordered about 150 pounds of stuff to make gluten free flour, but apparently no one thought about what we were going to store it in.
Anyone know where we can get some of these types of bins with lids? They hold about 20 pounds each, so we need 8 or so.

Restaurants get things like mayo in those tubs. Maybe ask a nearby restaurant?

Could also try Superstore. It's been ages since I worked there but the deli department used to get tofu in those. As far as I know the bins just got tossed.

Try a restaurant supply store, Hendrix or Russels? You want a food grade pail, but I've heard some pails at HD/Lowes are actually food grade as well.

I'm pretty sure those are the bins that DQ sells.
I also bought these to store my dog's food:

I have a big Sterelite storage bin that I use for flour - you can fit an entire 10 kg bag of flour in it. Bought it at walmart, not too expensive.

Yep. Restaurants and bakeries have more of these than they can deal with. They just go into the recycle bin.

If you get one from a resturant, how hard is it to clean the stuff/stink out of them?

If you had such a bin, what might you place in it?

Make sure you use that gluten free flour in a timely fashion as all flours will go rancid in time.

What is the time frame on that? I think my wife said it was a 8 month supply.

I would say from experience at least a year. Though towards the end of a year I find it doesn't rise as well and everything is denser. I'm sure humidity probably makes a big difference.

Would those round bins/buckets you can find at Home Depot or Rona work?
