We had to draw Fenerbahce, I think every Arsenal fan and supporter knew this was going to happen. A couple seasons back, an inability to complete our transfer business early caused us to drop out of the title race before the window closed. Will a lack of urgency in the transfer market this summer see us out of the CL before the close of the window this season?

I doubt you actually play Fenerbahce though, they're supposed to be banned from the CL for some transfer rigmarole or some such nonsense.

Fenerbahce was dominated by Salzburg twice and just advanced because of luck and Salzburgs inability to convert their 263 chances. Arsenal will have no trouble with Fenerbahce (I hope they don't get banned, I would be seriously pissed if Salzburg crashed out against a team that's banned a few weeks later).

It may be the bias but I initially thought he should have been sent-off; text-book dangerous play.

We were very lucky that Metalist got kicked out, and even against PAOK we only managed a 1-1 draw at home. Gotta hope a different team than this shows up on wednesday, or ourfinances are gonna take a hit
Come on Schalke!

Lets go Legia!
Tied 1-1 on the road in Romania. It's been ages since a Polish team was in the CL...

Kurwa.
Legia is out on BS aggregate. Polish football is in absolute shambles right now, which is shocking considering it's produced some of it's best players ever recently.

It is going to be a hell of a game - despite being down two nil going into the second leg, Celtic are still favoured to progress. I watched the first leg and Celtic should have won about six-nil, not lost two-nil.

Celtic are weak at the back. Two poor teams.

Samaras didn't dive once and he was immense throughout the night, really a cut above the rest. Scott Brown had a great game and James Forrest deserved his winner.
Incredible match. Well done Celtic for restoring some respectability to Scottish football after the disgrace that Rangers brought upon themselves.

Getting into the group stages of the Champions League is very respectable in my opinion. Would you not agree?

Celtic not getting in to the Champions League group stages would have been a debacle of monumental proportions
ever since UEFA split the champions/qualifier route and made it so they had no chance of going up against a spanish/english/german/italian/french team there should never be a season where Celtic don't make the group stages
what they did last year in the CL was respectable, what they have done this year is meet minimum requirements of not being a laughing stock

Scott brown should see a suspension come from Uefa for his cowardly stamp
The beasts from the east get their usual last minute goal.
Feel sorry or PSV they look a promising young team, hope they can hold on to a few of their players
