What 2014 Draft Picks do we now hold?
Was looking for this on the Calgary Flames website and couldn't find it.
Anyone been keeping track of which picks we have traded for or away?

1 x 1st round, 2 x 2nd round(COL and CGY's own) , 2 x 3rd round (PITT and CGY's own) , 6th (ANA) and a 7th (CGY). Overall a pretty good year as Russell and Colborne turned out to be better than what the flames could potentially have gotten in the 4th and 5th rounds.

CGY 1st
CGY 2nd
COL 2nd
CGY 3rd
PIT 3rd
ANA 6th
CGY 7th
the 4th went to Toronto for Colborne, the 5th to St Louis for Russell. We also traded our 6th for MacDermid, but got ANAs 6th for Jackman.
EDIT: or what those guys said ^^

Probably not the thread but I predict that Ryan MacInnis will be a Flame on draft day. Big, snarly center. Legacy spawn to boot.

Potentially they can move up the draft by trading their 1st and one of the 2nd round if they are targetting a player like Ekblad or whoever.

We already have former Flame Rob Ramage son John, Paul Reinhart's son Max so why not? MacInnis as one of their 2nd round pick.

Should work out to 2 picks in the top 35, and 4 in the top 65.

I'd put odds on the Flames being able to draft one of Ekblad or Bennett on draft day without trading up.
And I for one will be extremely pleased with either of them

The Flames have not drafted in the first three rounds using their own picks since 1999.

Hmmm...big and snarly? Not from what I've seen. I'll bet we don't select him...legacy or not.

6'4" 185. Good size. Just looked up his PIM (not an idicator of toughness) and they're pretty low so maybe not snarly. But he had some bite to him in the Top Prospects game so I was going off of that.

with Pittsburgh and Boston now eliminated (assuming no compensatory picks awarded by the NHL):
Flames 1st rounder #4 overall
Flames 2nd rounder #34 overall
Avalanche 2nd rounder #54(if Kings eliminate Ducks) or #55(if Ducks advance to WCF)
Flames 3rd rounder #64 overall
Penguins 3rd rounder #83(if Kings eliminate Ducks) or #84(if Ducks advance to WCF)
Ducks 6th rounder #175(if Kings eliminate Ducks) or #178(if Ducks lose in the WCF) or #179(if Ducks lose in the Stanley Cup Final) or #180 overall (if Ducks win the Stanley Cup)
Flames 7th rounder #184 overall

Would be nice to unearth some quality players with those 2nd and 3rd round picks.

Bruins, Ducks, Penguins and Avalanche being eliminated in the first two rounds have netted the best case scenario for the Flames acquired picks
(again assuming the NHL doesn't award compensatory picks to any team)
Flames 1st rounder #4 overall
Flames 2nd rounder #34 overall
Avalanche 2nd rounder #54 overall
Flames 3rd rounder #64 overall
Penguins 3rd rounder #83 overall
Ducks 6th rounder #175 overall
Flames 7th rounder #184 overall
