At least the thread title was good.

Dave, you can rip off a man once when selling him a car, or you can sell him 10 over his lifetime.
Or so I heard.

Well the firsts are in the second half of what is thought to be a weaker draft year.
I dunno if the deal happens without some transfer, but 2 mill seems high.
I could be way off base though. I had Moulson when I came in a year and a half ago and I traded him, haha.

I just liked the title. deal seems ok to me, minus the cap i suppose. No need to send cap IMO.

I first felt sorry for Dave because I thought he got a bottle of that pisswater that you call beer over there
deal seems okay although I don't get the money part. No reason for that in the offseason IMO

Even deal. Moulson is worth a first and the two mill just less then a first so if anything I like it a bit for hesla. Unless he selects two bums that end up going in round two.

I think everyone gets caught up on the cap because the other GM can flip the player, include full cheese and end up +2M despite not having the asset anymore.
Sometimes it can be a big deal, but most of the time it's whatever.
Personally, I'd have added a condition that he sends the 2M back if he deals the player away

I still get assets for the player. Who cares what he does with him.

I like to buy low and sell high. Moulson's value is somewhat low right now but he's good enough to step it up next year, a full season on 1 team.
Ravi and dsavillian both make good points and are things I always consider when trading this time of the year. Value of cap and what I can turn the trade into if I went that route,

Pretty even- Moulson is a bit of a risk because it is unsure how he produces without JT. Though maybe he returns to the Island and reunites.
Is he a 30 goal guy going forward or a 20 goal guy. We don't know.
Hesla drafts like crud though, so there's that...

I never have draft picks at the draft. It will be the same this year as it is my kids birthday.
Those firsts are immediately available.

I'll give you Moulson for them, can't send cash though.
