I just thought I'd post this here, as I know there are several CPers who own properties for rent.
We are looking for a relatively short term rental. Our current house is conditionally sold with a July 2nd possession date, and our new house won't be ready for another 10-12 months. (We decided to sell now while the market is good; as opposed to risking being in desperate situation later on.) This is what we need:
3 bedrooms
At least 1.5 bathrooms
Prefer townhouse or house
A garage would be a very nice feature to have as well.
Need to be in Copperfield, McKenzie Towne/Lake, or New Brighton
Must be willing to accept us having a dog. My dog is very laid back and doesn't scratch or chew stuff up. He is also kenneled while we are at work and school.
If somebody would be willing to be flexible with the rental term, that would be great. I realize this is asking a bit, and I would be willing to offer some consideration in return. For example, I'd be willing to be sure to give 3 month's notice, and would be willing to negotiate something if you cannot find a tennant right after we move out.
We are hoping to keep it somewhere between $1600-2000 per month; but would be willing to look at options over the $2000 mark if the place is really nice.
I will be looking at the rental sites as I know there are places that meet my needs there.
We are clean, will take care of the place, and not be calling you for every little thing. If there is a yard, we will maintain it. If a water pipe springs a leak at 2 am, I will shut off the water supply and call you in the morning.
We are looking for July 1st possession, but would be willing to look at June 15 if that is better.
