Default Vehicle A/C Repair recommendation

Anyone have a recommendation on where to get vehicle A/C fixed? The A/C stopped working over the winter in my wife's 2007 Jetta and not sure if I should go the dealership route or A/C repair shop. Thanks.

Jetta?

Call or go into Tunedub and ask about it. Best guy in the province to touch anything VAG.

Yup, I'll call him and he can tune up my wife's VAG.

I have air conditioning issues in my chevrolet equinox. Essentially it "runs out" of cool air conditioning every year and needs to be "recharged". After taking it to several dealerships, they cannot fix the issue, other than to say there must be a leak somewhere, but they can't detect it.

Just a long way of saying, don't ever buy a chevrolet (it was my first vehicle, I was stupid, never again)

Seems like most places are around $180-$200 for the initial diagnostic/recharge. May fix the issue, but may also just be the start. Problems with AC seem to be quite common with Jetta's as well according to the web.

+1 for Tunedub, they replaced my radiator on my Passat recently for $250 less than what NAPA Autopro quoted me.

Yeah George and co. @ Tunedub are great. Always done cheaper, better, and faster than any other shop or dealership I've tried. He's helped me out numerous times when I'm caught in a bind. Like when I had an axle go out on my car, had a show the next day, and didn't have enough time to buy one and change it myself. One call to Tunedub, he didn't even hesitate. Said tow it in, and George (the owner) himself stayed an hour after closing to swap it out. This was when he was booked 3 weeks in advance too.

Can't say enough good things about him.
