No No, Pure Sleep
Hi all, does anyone either of these or tried them? Wife wants a No No and they are around $300 online. Do any of you Women or any of your wives have this and how do they like it?
As for Pure Sleep, I'm looking fo rsometihng for when I travel. I use a CPap I'd rather not ravle with it. Theres a couple other devices on the market as well, I would appreciate any feedback .

Amazon reviews of the No No are quite entertaining...they did a great job marketing and I am not so sure it relates to real use.

If you've got a machine then you probably already know this, but I was told by a doctor at a sleep apnea clinic that those appliances can be successful for women though the ones they sell actually cost more than the machines.
He also told me that the appliances usually don't do anything for men.
I took the test but didn't need anything so I don't think I was being upsold, but it's only what I was told by one doctor at one clinic.
In general if a website for a medical device has a section for reviews but not one for scientific studies, that's a huge red flag.
EDIT: Yeah when they have stuff like this on their site: "Cleared by the US FDA to reduce snoring in adults" it just SCREAMS vortex energy bracelet. Cleared does not mean it's effective, it just means using it won't poison you or suffocate you.

I'm surprised that these things are $300. I would have expected it to be much cheaper.

The ones that you get special fitted are thousands.
EDIT: Nevermind I was confusing the hair removal thing and the mouth thing.

My wife wants the Tria over the no no. Some girl reasons I don't really remember other than the tria removes hair permanantly and the no no doesnt.
http://www.triabeauty.ca/home-laser-hair-removal
Tria is $450.

Going to a clinic costs alot more. I think prices have come down, but women could still spend thousands lasering hair if they wanted.

I dont think it takes only one time. I think it loosens the hair folicles over time but is supposed to be permanent like going to a laser clinic.

I never actually bought the NoNo, but I did demo it at Sephora (make-up & beauty product store). I was un-impressed. It does just burn the hair off. Sephora no longer carries NoNo, with the reason being that customers complained about them, and they had a lot of returns.
I have the Pure Sleep appliance, as does the Mister - and I find it reasonably effective. FYI - you can buy a similar product, for a similar price at London Drugs if you want to try it right away and don't want to wait for shipping.

Is that the Snore Guard? I will likely try one of those.

I bought the pure sleep, I hated it, felt like I had a brick in my mouth all night. So I tossed it (stupidly I may add, instead of returning)
What ended up working for me was buying a ObusForme pillow. It worked like a charm and was $35. Ya it isn't the most comfortable pillow but you get used to it, and I think it keeps the airway open and that was my problem. I don't think I have Apnea however.

Might be worth a shot to some people who have airway blocked snoring a try. It has worked well for me for the last 6 months. A bonus is it corrects your posture sleeping so I get less back soreness when I wake up too.
