US iTunes Gift Cards

Hey guys, my folks just came back from the US and gave me $45 worth of US iTunes gift cards.

I am unable to use them with my Canadian iTunes account.

Does anyone know how to use them (easily) up here? Does it work to simply set up a fake US iTunes account?

iTunes drives me crazy, so the simpler you can lay this out for be, the better

I use my US account here. I would assume you could just log in , create a new US Apple ID and be able to use it here. I would think the only problem would be syncing the stuff to your devices. Not sure if you can sync dual accounts to iPhones .

Yes you can - it will just ask you for your credentials for that particular account when there is an app upgrade available that was purchased from that account.
