Icon26 EC Playoffs Round 1: Pittsburgh Penguins vs Columbus Blue Jackets(Penguins win 4-2).

Game 1: Columbus 3 @ Pittsburgh 4. Penguins lead the series 1-0.
Game 2: Columbus 4 @ Pittsburgh 3 (OT). Series tied 1-1.
Game 3: Pittsburgh 4 @ Columbus 3. Penguins lead the series 2-1.
Game 4: Pittsburgh 3 @ Columbus 4 (OT). Series tied 2-2.
Game 5: Columbus 1 @ Pittsburgh 3. Penguins lead the series 3-2.
Game 6: Pittsburgh 4 @ Columbus 3. Penguins win the series 4-2.

Penguins in 7.

Columbus has the advantage in goal but Pittsburgh is too deep up front. CBJ has been playing some great hockey lately and are a hard working team. Pittsburgh's firepower though I think will be too much. Too many weapons. Hoping for CBJ to pull it out but I don't see it happening.

What are your predictions and thoughts on the series?

Columbus in 7, in OT.

Somethings not right with Pittsburgh right now. And Columbus has all sorts of mojo flowing their way.

With Horton out I think Columbus is in tough to pull out the upset.

I believe the series will be over in 6 with the Penguins on top. Helps to have Letang back and it could be rallying point for the Penguins.

Losing Horton for the seies hurts CBJ big time, and even with him it would have been a big upset for them to win.

MAF a complete wildcard, but Pitt in 6.

Pens should role but it is the play-offs and Fleury seems to lose his mind.

Colombus gets one game thanks to Fleury but the rest of the time are way outclassed.

Pittsburgh in 5

Penguins in six. Seems kinda similar to their first round matchup with the Islanders last year. Once again I think it comes down to Pittsburgh having too many weapons for Columbus to put a stop to.

You have to expect a really high scoring series though.

Penguins in 6. Not sold on the Penguins at all but still think they can beat the Blue Jackets in a series.

Eeeeee, the Jackets have better goaltending than the Isles did. And better D. Pittsburgh isn't going to like this matchup. Although I think the Pens won all 5 games this season in the head to head match up. Still, I think the Jackets can pull a series out of their bums.

Penguins win in 6. Bobrovsky steals one for Columbus, Fleury costs the Penguins one. But in the end they won't be able to contain Sid

Isn't Sid slumping hard right now? And Malkin may start the series coming back from injury. Malkins a bit of a slow returner after an injury. I don't know, I smell an upset.

10 points in past 10 games. Which I guess is a slump for Crosby. Malkin should be fine for game 1.

Hearing this series starts on Wednesday.

As much as I would like to see Columbus do well, I think Pitt wins it in 6.

Can't stand the Penguins, still going with them to win in 5.

There is a reason one is first, and one is 8th.

Pens sweep. Handily.

Tell that to the Kings. Seeding has merit, but it's not definitive.
