Leafs 3 - Flames 2 - meh
Clarkson scoring on us is easily the low mark of the season
But ... the Islanders won? We're in the 4th overall draft slot?
... ahh screw it.
Leafs.

Sucks to lose that game but at least we have the 4th overall pick now!

The Islanders passed us, so that's good!
Despite knowing what would have happened, wanted them to tie it up so bad though.

Let's look on the bright side, we're holding sole possession of that 4th overall draft position.
One of those losses you can't be too mad with. The Flames just don't have the horses right now and tonight was symptomatic of that.

They looked brain-dead out there tonight. Way too sloppy. Billins was AWFUL. Oh well.

Lots of bad bounces, some poor decision making, and a hint of not caring too much. Decent effort by the boys. I'm not mad, especially wi the effort at the end there.

Leafs are terrible. Hope they continue to fail miserably down the stretch here. Flames weren't very good tonight, and still they made things interesting right down to the final seconds. Proud of these guys.

Leafs will still miss the playoffs and it'll be even more painful than if we nailed the coffin shut tonight.
Flames were asleep for long stretches in the game. Mix of inexperience and vets already thinking about the offseason. Yet we still tilted the ice on them late in the second and third.

Always hate losing to the leafs. Smids injury has had a pretty big impact on our D. Still think Glencross needs to settle down a bit and make smart plays instead of trying to make pretty ones.
Overall another one goal game so really how mad can you be. On to the next one

We played poorly and deserved to lose. That's all I have to say tonight.

Leafs are going no where...up by one goal in the 3rd in a must win and they decide to run and gun...Dion standing in front of the FLAMES net
Flames effort was okay, obvious holes in the lineup

-The Flames were sloppy again
-It seems like the ice didn't help
-Butler had a very good game today
-Brodie and Stajan were off most of the night, though they did combine for a nice goal
-Great play out of the corner by Colborne there, the difference with him from the start of the season is fantastic
-Can't fault Ramo on any of the goals, he's solid
-Thought Backlund had a really strong game on the boards tonight
-Tight game, a few bounces here or there and either team could have won
-The Leafs are terrible in their own zone... as soon as one player has to make a switch on the defensive cycle the whole unit starts standing around.
-Bernier is very good
The loss helps with their draft position but the Flames play has slipped from what we saw in most of March... hopefully there can get back to playing sharp hockey.
