The Panthers looks awful. The Devils could easily have 5+ goals right now.

Kulikov scores a shorthanded goal. 3-1 Devils.

Is anyone else trying to watch Sens-Canes on CI? Sound and video are all messed up. Did Sportsnet leave their Calgary crew and equipment behind?

Panthers were 17-14-3 under their new coach until Barkov got injured. Since then they have gone 6-14-1.

They don't just look like it, they are awful at the moment.

Too late for them to catch us, so I guess at this stage we want the Panthers to lose so Edmonton passes. So yay, go Devils, or something.

Canes and Sens are playing along with the Flames rebuild. A three point game (Carolina winning) would be ideal.

But no matter what Jersey does they pick 30th. So we should want their odds to win the lottery to be as possible.

They likely just won't be in the lottery. Florida loss is better in the hope they pick Ekblad and Edmonton picks Draisaitl and we end up 4th.

Jeff Skinner's got to be the quietest 30 goal scorer this season.

It is a Monday night doubleheader!

at

The Devils currently lead 4-3 in the second intermission.
It is a must win for the Devils as they are five points back
of the BJs for the last playoff spot. Brodeur started the game
but Schneider has taken over after the Panthers scored their
third goal.

at

This is the OOT game of the night as the Wild lead a three
way race for the final two playoff spots in the western
conference. The Kings have really improved their game and
have won six consecutive games to solidify their third place
position in the Pacific Division. They are looking like they did
two years ago when they won the Stanley Cup.

These games are not being simulcast on TSN2 due to a surprise change
in programming a few days ago. That channel is instead showing the
doubleheader of ESPN's Monday Night baseball.

The Wild-Kings game could be shown on TSN instead but they will
have taped programming on instead, the World Poker tour.

Centre Ice games

at

The teams are tied 1-1 in the second intermission.
It is a must win for either team if they want to stay in
the playoff race. The Senators are only six points back
of the BJs and the Hurricanes are eight points behind.
The Senators need to win this in regulation or overtime.

at

The Ducks can increase their slim lead over the Sharks for
first place in the Pacific Division. They are also just three
points back of the Blues for first place in the western conference.

It just seems like a very unlikely scenario to hope for the Devils to win the lottery. I'd rather Edmonton be ahead of Florida in the standing, so the only way they would pick higher than 3rd is if they themselves won the lottery. Anyone else wins (Jersey too) they are still at least 3rd.

4 points so far for both Zajac and Jagr tonight.

It seems like Florida has been terrible for a long time now.

And one of the worst defensive players in the league. Kid has skill but he belongs on the Oilers.

The Devils won 6-3. The Panthers were down 3-0 in the first period and made it close but, the Devils scored twice in the third period and are now just three points back of the last playoff spot. Both teams scored shorthanded goals and Zajac scored his first career hattrick.

The Panthers have been brutal but it was just two years ago the Panthers made into the playoffs and took the Devils to seven games in the first round. Kevin Dineen was the coach.

If Carolina can get the second point, it should make us pretty safe from either of them going full ######.
