Default Going to a game on Crutches

So this girl I'm seeing broke her Femur a few weeks ago and is on crutches. Does anyone have any experience with going to a Flames game with someone on crutches?

She can move her leg and sitting isn't a problem or anything, the only thing that would be stopping her from sitting in a normal seat would be having no where to keep her crutches and getting around the skinny aisles and all the stairs.

Just looking for things we can do out of the house and wondering if a game is an option!

Thanks!

Although not having been in that situation, stadiums generally have special seating for people in situations like that. Call them and ask, they will know best about what can be done so hopefully you guys can enjoy the game!

The number is (403) 777-4646.

I have been to a game before where my brother was on crutches a few years ago. If you go to the main ticket office they can help change your regular tickets into wheelchair section tickets, which would give her tons of room for her leg. They helped us out and it was no problem, although it did get pretty crowded with wheelchairs and others on crutches.

I was on crutches for six weeks and today is the first day i have been off of them. I tore my meniscus. Anyways, I never went to a game during the time I was off. I sold or got rid of all my tickets. I just didn't want the hassle.

I was thinking that too but it seems like getting in and out of the seats would be a pain unless you can secure aisle seats, close to the exit level.

Went to Stamps game with recently torn calf muscle.
I found getting up the stairs to be quite painful.

Didnt drink beer to avoid going to the bathroom.

The other option is drink enough until you can't feel it anymore.

I did it last year in March. I had a broken ankle and was crutching around for a couple months.

I had to go to the ticket office on arrival to the dome and they exchanged my normal seats for the wheelchair section.

Word of warning though, the dome is not really setup well for this kind of thing IMO. Gained an appreciation for those with permanent disabilities for sure. Make sure you know where the elevators and ramps are, and watch out for slippery surfaces. A wheelchair would probably have been a better choice, but my pride wouldnt allow me to be pushed around in one.

Yeah I recommend getting a seat in the wheelchair section.

I don't see how working her way through the crowded isles and sitting in those seats is going to be an enjoyable experience with a broken femur.

Not to mention that going up and down those stairs on crutches would be a little scary.
