Cammalleri in 08-09 was a beast.

Huselius was excellent in 06-07 when he scored 34 goals and 77pts. But I'm not sure he would be on my team as he was all skill and no grit.

I think he's just listing a list of the "best" players who have played for the Flames. So not that they were any good when they were here, but just all-time best players that have played for the Flames at some point in their careers.

The lineup comes pretty close if you put it that way.

I'd try and find room for Housley on that team though, even though he was kinda bad in his time here. Also Kent Nilsson deserves a spot too, maybe Loob as well.

I'm probably in the minority here but I've always thought that "the best team ever" rosters should be assembled the same way as a contending team preparing for the full season and playoffs. That means a good mixture of skill, size, offensive and defensive awareness, leadership and grit. Some of the line combinations and teams above are IMHO suitable for the all star game only.
This is the team that in my opinion would be successful in the long run:
