Maybe things have changed but I thought Sledge Hockey was like Womens Hockey in that there are the US and Canada and then everyone else on a level far below. Why are they playing in the Semi's and not the final?

Was I wrong? Has this changed?

This year's tournament has been way closer than every before. Much deeper pool of talent.

The Czech team was a great challenge for Canada.

The US and Canada are still the big names, but its much more competitive now

1-0 USA - Declan Farmer with the goal

Canada failed to convert on a breakaway and the US takes it down the ice and opens the scoring

3-0 USA Josh Pauls, with an assist from who else... 16 year old Declan Farmer.

Canada still with some great pressure but the American Goalie Steve Cash is the best in the world and is showing why.

3-0 final for the US. Goaltending was rock solid for the US and even though the Canadian team had plenty of scoring opportunities it looked as though they continued to miss the net when given an opportunity to score.

Canada will now meet Norway for Bronze early Saturday morning.

Sort of wrong. Canada/USA are good but not the only two good teams in the world. Thinking of Norway (since the beginning), Sweden (years ago) and Japan.

They are playing in the SF because Russia upset USA in group play.
