Embertec Power Saver & Harmony Remote

So I got an Embertech power saver bar.

It's kind of cool, it cuts the power to the TV, stereo receiver and blu-ray player when not in use.

However, the issue I have is with my harmony remote.

How the powerbar works is there's an IR receiver that detects when the power button is pressed. It turns the power back on to the TV, receiver and blu-ray player. So essentially you have to press power twice.

But that screws up the remote. It's annoying having to fix it (or turning on the blu-ray when you want to watch TV, or vice-versa).

Does anyone else have an Embertech power bar and a harmony remote? Have you found a solution to the problem (the googles hasn't helped thus far)

I don't have my Harmony software installed right now, but couldn't you add a command to the activity buttons? Or maybe just hit the devices button, select one device and then select power?

You should be able to set a delay so the remote turns on the power bar and then turns on everything else.

Should be able to but it won't let me.

The cable box isn't on the switch, it's always on. So it would be perfect if I could get the power on to that which would also turn the power on to the power bar. Then delay 2 seconds and power on the rest.

But it won't let me and I don't know why.
