2-1 Capitals holtby has been making some seriously good saves in the 2.
UPDATE:Ovechkin with a terrible give away behind his own net 2-2
UPDATE 2: Washington back on top 3-2

Nice comeback by the Flyers....they are close to being a real threat in the post season....see what Holmren comes up with by Wednesday.

Well, that was a great start to a day of hockey. Big come back in the Flyers/Caps game.

Trades Giroux and Voracek to "shake up" the team.

Besides the joke of having a Zero on the front of their jerseys, love the Senators heritage classic jerseys. Vancouvers are nice as well, remind me of Latvia though.

The Austrians are trying hard to give the Flames a better pick and keep the Isles above them in the standings. Last game, Grabner had two goals to lead them past Toronto. Today it's Vanek with two goals so far. Unfortunately, it's against the Cats, so it's not really helping ... still early in the game, hopefully the Panthers can somehow step up and take it to overtime.

Looks like some players are wearing eye black. You know, in case they get some glare from that closed dome roof.

Watching CBC and looking at the venue, I see no sky... so hard to call it an outdoor game. However, it also looks like a better game than most of the others from a fan's point of view because it looks like the sight lines are better. Arena shape is a bit more conducive to the event.
Even though they didn't sell it out, if they as an organization (rather than participating in an NHL event) did a game each year in BC Place it might be a good thing. But they really need a game that matters to the fans - LA, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Boston, Calgary. No one gives a crap about the Sens, and why would they.

Reliving the Stanley Cup final by playing two teams with zero Stanley Cups.

Don't the Canucks matter to the fans?

I forgot that Mel Bridgman was the Senators' first GM. Has he done anything since?

I really like the burgundy uni's. I used to rock them back in the day in Chatham (like Brodie), so it pains me to see the Nucks wearing them.
