JVR had a sweet sweet through the legs tip in for TOR's only goal.

Don Cherry got upset during the intermission. Pro Owner spiel about how the NHL should not go to South Korea.

Also, they brought up the Para-Olympics and cheering on the sledge hockey team. But with Canada pulling all their people out is there a chance we hold our athletes out?

This is the first time Crosby has played Toews head-to-head. That's really hard to believe considering how long both have been in the league now.

Gotta say I really like the Pens jersey for this game. Much nicer than their current away jersey

This is going to be the best-worst outdoor game ever, I think.

Ice looks absolutely terrible in Chicago. Heavy snow piling up quickly.

Nice exclamation point on the league's undermining of the mystique of the outdoor game.

How is this even possible?

Didn't even realize there was an outdoor game today. Don't know if that says something about me or about the ubiquity of these games.

The weather is ridiculous right now. What would it take to cancel an outdoor game?

The intermission. I can't see. cannot imagine how the players are seeing things.

Cleaning the ice and re-surfacing it is going to be a monumental task.

Edit: Those shovels are gonna be busy.

I am very disappointed that greed is forcing this game to a gimmick be played in sub-optimal conditions. The snow will cancel the speed that both teams can generate, and will cause this game to be played with much lower skill, as the puck bounces and drags. This game is important to both teams as they battle for division leads...and should have been played in normal conditions and venues.

I HATE gimmicks...Shootouts..."Stadia Series"...Bettman...

Pretty sure we'd be packing up if I was playing in snow like that as a kid. Not too fun when the puck can't even slide four feet.

I wonder if the Pens and Blackhawks will hesitate in playing their key guys in conditions like these. It would probably ruin future outdoor games if Crosby gets hurt in another outdoor game.

Well, if anything, we won't be seeing too many icing calls in this game.

Passing along the ice seems impossible, at this point, the puck drags and stops quickly.

I am surprised they can even see the puck most of the time when it's buried in the snow like that. They must be following the snow trail it's leaving behind.

One positive about playing in these conditions...now, at least, Handzus can catch up to the other players...they ALL seem Handzus slow!

Busy weekend conference for me so far, no time to do the OOT. Thanks for doing it trackercrowe.

There were several morning, afternoon games due to the Penguins-Blackhawks outdoor game. The Capitals-Bruins game was on NHL Network USA currently the Leafs-Habs game on HNIC and RDS. It is nice having NBC showing the outdoor game at the same time as HNIC.

This is the greatest hockey game ever (Hawks-Pens).

Every game must be outdoors and snowing from now on. This is beautiful
