Flames lose 2-0 to Kings at home.
Sad bear is sad.

Happy to see the flames back on TV and they fought a pretty good battle.
Thought Granlund and Ortio played as good as we could have expected.
Was fortunate to have both of them at my table for the flames poker tournament. Both real well spoken/nice guys. (you are lucky to get more than 2 words out of Granlund)

Not a goal scored tonight between the two Alberta teams on home ice. Sign of the times I guess.

They tried.
Unfortunately there are quite a few stone hands on this team.

Despite their inability to score, I thought the Flames played a decent game.

where those the refs Forsberg was worried about in the Gold medal game ? that was atrocious.
what happened to Wideman ? is his hand/wrist still busted he is just a momentum killer right now
Boy that Kings team reminds me of the '04 team with more talent ,but jus as dull to watch

It felt like Granlund did something positive every shift. Would really have liked to see more of him.

I was pretty happy with how Ortio did, first goal wasn't really on him. I really hope he gets another game.
Otherwise... I dunno, fata everything.

The worst part is that the pieces that should be traded are playing like crap.

Just a suffocating team to play against. Every attempt looked futile against them.

Goaltending: Meh, first game
Defense: Shaky
Offense: I thought they were not too bad considering we were shut out

I thought Granlund looked like he can play in the league at least. Solid decision making. For a 20-year-old second round pick, that's already a big step forward.
Very little ice time to evaluate, of course, but he looks physically readier than his brother did last year.
