Goaltending is definitely Canada's weak link, just like it was in 2010. I might also be worried, but Team USA is going to be in tough against Canada's defense, which is light years beyond every other blue line in the tournament. Price has been good so far, and I expect that to continue. We can be fairly confident that he will be better than Pavelec.

Price is decent but his playoff record is a scary 9-17.

In Europe so the game is on at 6:00 pm my time. In other words, I'm getting crunk.

Where will you be? I arrive in Venice at 5:05, will be frantically trying to find a pub and convince the bartender to put the game on.

You're an hour ahead. So its game time when you touch down, best bet may be the airport bar. Otherwise, get your google translate out and in perfect Italian ask if you can watch the "ice hockey".

Venice is still GMT+1, 3 hours behind Sochi. Game will start at 6, so I at least have a bit of a head start . Spent 5 minutes figuring out how to pronounce "ghiaccio", so I'm all set!

Ouch. You're right, that isn't good. My expectation is that an average goaltending performance could lose this game for Canada, but they will probably not need a spectacular performance in net to win.

I'm cheering for US, sorry
Canada wins enough often enough, I'd like to see a different champion.

I would feel a bit more comfortable if we had Stamkos and Tavares...

Hope our forwards break out this game. Getzlaf line will be big in this game IMO.

Sounds like Backes will shadow Crosby and Nash will shadow Kessel.
Muricans have last change.

First time I've been nervous and felt butterflies before a game in a long long time. Meaningful hockey is fun!
